Here is some of the things we have done 3 months prior to the treatment:
I've explained this in my last post. So no need to re-story the whole thing here ya.
2. Cut down my weight
Fasting month would be just the perfect timing to loose weight. My BMI is almost reaching the max for normal range. I tried to avoid oily and fatty foods like nasi briyani etc. Cut down my rice intake. Usually i ate half or quarter of normal portion of rice.By end of fasting month, however, i only managed to loose 2-3 kilos only.. sigh. ;( .At this age, it's not really easy to get rid all those fat. It must be the metabolism factor.
3. Reduce intake of caffeine
Everybody should know that one of the thing to do when try to conceive is to reduce the intake of caffeinated drinks like coffee and tea. I'm a fan of Teh C Tarik or Teh C Ice (it's tea plus sugar and evaporated / fresh milk). Whenever i go to Mamak stall, i will definitely order these drinks. So, in this few months, i really tried hard to avoid my fav drink..huhu..
4. Get traditional massage
Even though i believe more on scientific medical treatment, i'm still have a feeling that i need to have a bit of traditional touch in my preparation for IVF. I had a full body traditional malay massage which includes Sengkak (a special massage for the womb / uterus to ensure that it is located at the right position). The full-body massage would helps a good flow of overall body blood circulation. On top of the massage, i also did a full body scrub.. hehe.. cannot resist the good offer from the massage lady. She offered me a package of full body massage + full body scrub (total 2 hours) for only RM50!! hehe
5. Do exercise
We like to exercise, whether indoor or outdoor. During weekends, we like to go for jogging at one of the Putrajaya lakeside near Pullman Hotel. While jogging, we love enjoying the view of the hotel and lake, watching the sailing boats at the Kelab Tasik Putrajaya and watching some pro-photographers taking pictures of the newly-wed couples (really a hot spot for photo session) ;P
During weekdays, since we don't have time to go to Putrajaya for jogging, we just do indoor exercise at home. Well, my husband bought me this Wii set for my previous birthday. Wii is a game console that needs physical involvement from the players. With Wii, we can do loads of things like jogging, bycling, hula-hup, boxing, aerobics, golfing, playing car racing game like those at game arcade at shopping malls and many other. If you are wondering how the Wii looked like.. here is the picture of our Wii console.
6. Plan our work
Both of us are working in IT industry for several years now. We involved in many IT projects and at the same time need to so IT support. That means lots of IT system problem to be solved, new IT requests, lots of meetings, outstations, system testing, project deadlines, paperworks, IT documentations, programming bla bla bla... fuhhss..what a long list. In simple wordings, working in IT is very stressful. So.. as part of our preparation, both of us have carefully planned and organized our works, because we don't want to get stressed with all of these during our IVF treatment. Stress in not a good thing in IVF ya.
7. Prepare the room for my 2WW
We live in a 2-storey immediate terrace house. I've read somewhere in the internet that during the 2 weeks waiting period (ie. 2ww - after the embryo transfer until pregnancy is confirmed), one should never do heavy stuffs which includes go up and down the staircase. Whether this is only a myth or it is a fact.. well i don't want to risk my pregnancy. So we have set-up the room at our house ground floor so that i can use that room during my 2ww period and if i'm pregnant, maybe for my first trimester.
That's about it.

Tubal Ligation Reversal is very safe and having reasonable cost now..
but remember the legacy of this operation depends on the doctor moves.so make sure that the doctor has experience in this field.
Hi Tubal,
ReplyDeleteYou r definitely correct.
Thanks to internet world that enable us to look for such info like people's experience doing the treatment, recommendation from people who already has done the treatment with the doctor/hospital/clinics, the expected treatment costs and many others. :)
