My IVF : The injections

Below is the summary of all injections/medications that i've taken during my first stage of IVF until the egg retrieval day. Please bear in mind, different people might be given different medications and dosage.
Why different.. i'm also not sure.. you may ask this question when you visit your IVF doctor. and if you have the answer.. do share it with us (post your comment ya) ;P
21.09.2010   *Appointment
10am - Orgalutran 0.25mg (Done by the nurse at clinic)
22.09.2010   
6.45am - Orgalutran 0.25mg
23.09.2010
6.45am - Orgalutran 0.25mg
24.09.2010   *Appointment
6.45am - Orgalutran 0.25mg
10 am - Menonys 150 iu + Folliova 150 iu (Done by the nurse at clinic)
25 - 28.09.2010 
9pm - Menonys 150 iu + Folliova 150 iu
29.09.2010
6.45am - Orgalutran 0.25mg
9pm - Menonys 150 iu + Folliova 150 iu
30.09.2010  *Appointment
6.45am - Orgalutran 0.25mg
9pm - Menonys 75 iu + Folliova 75 iu
01.10.2010
6.45am - Orgalutran 0.25mg
9pm - Menonys 75 iu + Folliova 75 iu
02.10.2010  *Appointment
6.45am - Orgalutran 0.25mg
9pm sharp - Ovidrel 250 ug
03.10.2010
Start antibiotic Zinnat for 4 days 1 tablet twice daily

  2. Yes Jam. Different people have different dosage, this is depending on the size of the follicles. During the scanning, doctor will monitoring the size until it come to the standard mature eggs before the collection day. If the size after few injection still consider small, dr will increase the dosage.

  3. Lovebaby.. yes that is totally correct. It's just that some people did ask me why the doctor don't give me buserelin or pen-like injection..
    i guess only the doctor know what's the best for his patient

    ic.... I think this is depending on the patient condition. I got a fren doing IUI at Kl fertility. Same she is not using pen-like injection. she is allergic to the medicine after few injection. Therefore, she change to another medicine injection. This is subject to the patient condition. My donor is using pen-like injection. She is very healthy, her medicine injection is very simple.

  5. Lovebaby... pen-like injection seems a lot easier to use since no mixing required.. i did asked the nurse why i'm not given the pen-like injection. she said.. for my case, i'm more suitable to use the "DIY" mixing injection ;).
